Safeguarding and Vetting

Celsian is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We only assign applicants that have successfully completed each stage of our stringent assessment, selection and safeguarding guidelines.

Our recruitment procedures are accredited by the REC, DfE Quality Mark, ISO 9000:2000 and adhere to the most recent guidance set out by the Independent Safeguarding Authority.
 
Celsian will help you every step of the way to progress through our stringent vetting procedures:
  • GTC Confirmation (as appropriate to role)
  • ISA Barred List (incorporating POCA, PoVA and List 99 to be renamed ‘ISA First’)
  • Fully Enhanced CRB Disclosure
  • New CRB applied if break in educational service of three months or more
  • New CRB applied for if over three years since date of issue
  • Minimum 2 years previous references​
  • 10 years of documented work history
  • All gaps in classroom working history checked and verified
  • Overseas police check (if applicable)
  • Proof of ID and Right to Work in the UK
  • Evidence of Qualifications and Training
  • Face-to-Face interview
All candidates also complete the following documentation:
  • Contract for Services
  • Declaration of Criminal Convictions
  • Health Declaration
  • Competency Questionnaire
  • CPD assessment and future requirements identification form
