We are currently seeking to appoint a mathematics teacher to join a new 11-18 Academy in Birmingham from September 2017.
The schools mission is to create an outstanding organisation that inspires learners with excellence in academic achievement, personal development and community service.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding mathematics Teacher who is able to offer strong professional development and support for teachers at any stage of their career, making this a great opportunity for newly qualified teachers or more experienced colleagues seeking to further their experience.
The mathematics department currently consists of one Director of Learning and two full time teachers of math's who are committed to a collaborative approach to departmental planning and decision making. Within this framework, individual teachers exercise a significant degree of autonomy in their classrooms.
The math's department is dedicated to ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to learn, build on prior success, and achieve their potential. At GCSE, they teach AQA, which is supported by a dynamic and focused curriculum being practised from year 7 onwards. Their aim is to instil and develop creative thinking through engaging and challenging lessons. These lessons develop a sympathetic imagination through the use of explaining and evaluating views and opinions other than their own ensuring pupils become successful and tolerant members of society.
You will:

· be able to deliver Science to GCSE level
· be an 'outstanding' and highly committed teacher who is passionate about their subject and our learners
· be prepared to deliver after school intervention and enrichment programmes and contribute to wider school activities.
