Fed up of the late nights of planning and marking? Want to re-claim your weekends and gain a better work/life balance for September 2017?If you...
The head teacher of a small and friendly primary school in Derbyshire (Matlock), wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher of EYFS/KS1 for a full time maternity cover from September 2017.
The suitable candidate should have a good understanding of the Early Years/KS1 curriculum and assessment processes, demonstrate a positive, supportive and caring disposition, and be available for the full duration of the post - 1 year. As a small school with single tier entry, this school is ideally seeking an experienced main scale teacher, who has experience of teaching across the EYFS/KS1 curriculum. Additional experience of teaching at KS2 is also desirable, but not essential. Responses from strong and proactive NQTs who have already begun working towards their induction (ideally with two terms completed) are welcomed - and appropriate support and guidance towards completing induction can be provided.
Please be in touch by either telephone or email for more information about this rare opportunity to work within a small and friendly environment, alongside a close team of welcoming and supportive staff. The head teacher welcomes initial meetings to discuss the post - and is happy to provide a tour of the school ahead of committing to a formal interview with interested applicants.
As well as securing full time, long term work in a small, friendly, village primary school, the successful applicant will also benefit from:
Payment to scale (up to M6) - £33160 per annum
Guidance and support via a 24 hour emergency phone line, and email access to a primary consultant
Access to a range of additional teaching opportunities to suit your requirements at the end of your placement
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check, and be able to provide suitable references. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
