Celsian Education are looking to recruit a passionate SEN L2 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Bolton.
The school has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted and gained 4 out 4 stars on all areas that are assessed. Children that start at the school normally have skills that are below what is expected of them at that age. The school makes rapid progression in developing the pupils skills to a suitable standard at reception level. Once they get to key stage 1 they are now reaching the average standards that are expected in key skills. Key stage 2 they again go on to exceed expectations and go on to improve further. The school have managed to retain this progression now for a number of years and looking to keep their high standards in teaching.

The school are looking for someone to do the following:
- Work with pupils that have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Support and be under the supervision of the class teacher and implementing actions that are set out in their Learning Support Plans.
- Supervise and support pupils safely.
- Attend to the personal needs of SEN pupils such as pastoral, social, physical hygiene, health and welfare.
- Encourage pupils to work independently when possible.
- Build positive working relationships with pupils, staff members and parents

Having previous experience working with Autism/ADHD will help with your application. Please beware not all experience comes in a school environment, it can come in the likes of residential homes and you may even have a family member that has Autism/ADHD.
