Celsian Education are currently recruiting for an SEN teacher on behalf of a school based in Warrington. The position will be fulltime. The school pride themselves on giving staff and children the best support possible and a positive environment. The school works with pupils from the ages of 4-19 year olds that have special needs requirements such as PMLD, ASC and SLD.
The candidate will be responsible to report to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team whilst liaising with the above but also the likes of support staff, parents, local authority officers and external agencies.
You will be responsible for creating, inspiring and encouraging the schools ethos which is ensuring not only the children are learning to their full potential but the staff are working to that standard also.
The candidate will have the following:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Evidence of CPD (continued professional development)
- Good attendance and sickness record
- Recent teaching experience
- Experience of Special Educational Needs
- An interest in ASD/SLD/PMLD
- A passion to work with SEN
Skills that the candidate should have are:
- Ability to teach more than one subject
- Computer skills
- Strong classroom management
- Excellent communicational skills
