SEND LSA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Celsian education are representing a range of schools who have students of various abilities, ranging from moderate learning difficulties to complex and profound needs. Someone who is dedicated to the profession but also has a real passion for the evolution of the students with their learning and understanding of the curriculum is needed.

All applicants must hold a minimum qualification of an NVQ Level 3/ Degree qualified, as well as having 2 years recent experience working with students who have special educational needs. The role will include:

- Assisting the teacher with classroom preparations as well as general support and observations

- Support work with students 1:1

- Working within small groups of students

Training required:

- MAPA Training (Required)

- Team teach (Ideal)

- BSL level 2 minimum - some schools are trying to teach aspects of Education with sign.

The positions I'm focusing on are within Central and North Birmingham, working in some fantastic schools and centres in the local vicinity. It's always important that you feel you can work as part of an effective team, producing standards of work that grasp the attention and clearly demonstrate your level of understanding within the class
