Do you hold a Sports Degree with experience of working with secondary aged children (11-18 year olds) either within a school or in a coaching role? Do you live in or around the Redditch area?
Celsian Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors with a specialism within PE, which is a great way to gain experience working with young people and also a fantastic route into teaching in schools.
The role will include the supervision of whole classes under the guidance of teaching/senior staff including implementation of work programmes and positively managing student behaviour as well as assisting students in relevant activities.
You will be requirement to cover PE lessons as well as assisting in covering additional lessons throughout the school where required.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have recent experience in either Secondary Schools or Coaching tutoring roles and be resourceful and capable of encouraging students to reach their full potential whilst maintaining the academies successful vision.

Requirements:
Must hold a minimum degree level qualification
Sports coaching or youth worker qualification
Have excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
Excellent communication skills
Are enthusiastic, professional, reliable and flexible
Have a strong desire to inspire and support young people
Previous experience of working with similar age groups would be beneficial but not essential
Additional Information:
Cover supervisor work is not as easy as it sounds as you would need to be of strong character and be able to contain a classroom, ensuring pupils remain on task with the work they have been set, therefore previous experience within a classroom is desirable. You will be required to cover short-term absence of a teacher on a day by day basis and regular full time or part-time work to suit is available. You will be required to cover an absent teacher at short notice so flexibility and commitment is essential.
