We are looking to appoint a qualified Art & Design teacher to maintain a high standard of teaching, inspire the students and continue to drive up performance within a Birmingham based secondary school. This role is to start immediately on a full time basis for one term minimum.
The school is a vibrant and dynamic Academy, which caters for 1100 students from the age of 11 to 18. They have a successful sixth form, which prepares students for university life and the world of work.The facilities are first class and include; a state of the art Apple Computer Centre, Drama Studio, Lecture Theatre, a fully refurbished canteen and library, an Artificial Turf Pitch, Climbing Tower, fully refurbished areas of learning for English, Modern Languages, RE, Humanities, ICT and SEN.
You will need to be resourceful and innovative in your teaching approach and be able to teaching all aspects of Art & Design at KS3 and KS4.
Applicants must have:
A UK recognised teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed, etc )
Recent experience teaching Art and Design KS3 - 4
Eligibility to work within the UK
Excellent subject knowledge
Hold a valid enhanced DBS check
Able to provide references to cover the last 2 years of employment history
