Celsian Education are seeking a temporary matron for a Shropshire based Secondary School to start immediately. The school is a 7-18 independent school based in Shropshire and has around 240 students on roll set in a magnificent grade I listed building. Staff who work at this school comment on its welcoming atmosphere and their polite, well behaved and motivated pupils. Working as part of a team of residential staff you will be responsible for pastoral issues, general housekeeping and the low level medical needs of the students. Accommodation and meals are provided free of charge for the duration of the week.The successful applicant will be:An effective and harmonious part of an energetic, cohesive, hard working teamAble to communicate effectively at all levels with pupils, staff, parents and carersProfessional, flexible, conscientious and able to act with discretion at all timeAble to work upon your own initiative in a calm and patient mannerResponsibilities will include:Reporting to the Head of House, Deputy Head of House and/or Houseparent, matrons Providing pastoral care for and supervision of pupils resident in Boarding Houses, during non-timetabled times.
