Celsian Education are currently on the lookout for SEN Teaching Assistants (September start) on behalf of a Special Needs School based around the Chorley area. The school caters for pupils 11-18 years old and have social emotional behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and on the Autistic Spectrum. The school in their last Ofsted inspection was graded Outstanding and the inspectors found that the children were making outstanding progress in a wide range of subjects such as English, Maths and Science from where they first started. Ofsted also mentioned that the teachers always meet the needs of the students and each lesson is planned extremely well.
The school has excellent facilities to offer the pupils such as Science Laboratories, ICT Suites, Art and Food Technology facilities and also a specialist sports facilities.
The school strives to provide a safe and caring environment where pupils can learn in a structured but engaging environment. The school challenges its pupils to develop academically but also socially and emotionally to fill their full potential.
The school are looking for the candidate to be the following:
- Use of Initiative
- Worked with pupils with Special Educational needs (Autism & SEBD)
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Knowledge of Autism and SEBD
- Worked in a school setting
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ, Diploma or Degree etc.)
