Do you have excellent communication and listening skills and enjoy helping others and have Speech and Language therapy experience then Celsian Education want to talk to you! We are actively seeking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist for one of our clients based in Stockport. This position is to start as soon as possible for the right candidate and is a permanent contract.Our client supports pupils aged from 0-25 years of age with a number of special educational needs and disabilities ranging from autism to physical difficulties. The client aims to help any child/adult that are vulnerable and families that are looking for assistance. They are fully committed to providing quality services and outcomes for people they support by believing in the values, cultures and beliefs of the people they care for. The successful candidate will be able to show the following:- Excellent knowledge and experience within the SEN sector- Experienced working with pupils with special needs and disabilities- Worked in an educational or relevant setting- Speech & Language qualification desirable but not essential depending on your experience The responsibilities you will take on are:- Identifying the speech and communication difficulty and/or disorder.- Assess the cause and nature of the problem.- Devise and deliver a suitable programme, working on a 121 basis or within a group that will improve the pupils progress as best you can.- Review and revise programme. - Advise carers/support staff on the programme set for the pupil.- Monitor and evaluate pupils progress
