Celsian Education are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant for a very welcoming school in Leeds to start as soon as possible. Candidates must be Team Teach trained.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role is to start this month, the successful applicant will be working 1:1 with children who have a variety of learning and behavioural difficulties. The children also present challenging behaviour, so we are require an SEN Teaching Assistant with strong, effective behaviour management.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve a combination of in class support and 1:1 work outside the classroom. The class is very well staffed with several adults so you will be working in a dynamic and helpful team. You will be required to start immediately for a role that has potential to become a long term role. The successful candidate will benefit from a vibrant, innovative teaching environment and convenient transport links.

The model SEN Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working with children with behavioural difficulties, whether this be mild or severe. The children can be challenging so we need a resilient individual who is pro-active and motivated, dedicated to finding and trialling new and unique approaches to learning and development The role could be beneficial to a recent graduate who is looking for some experience before going on to do teacher training.
