What is a Cover Supervisor?A member of staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are absent.What will I learn?On this thorough 1-day course youll learn how to manage a classroom when teaching staff are absent, including covering lessons, supervising work already set and managing students behaviours. On the course you'll cover a number of modules, including:- How to be an effective cover supervisor- Behaviour management- Safeguarding & e-safetyAm I eligible to take the course?If you have previous experience working with children in different areas or are studying for a degree, have already graduated or are looking for a new career, you could be trained to become a cover supervisor. Who teaches the course?The course will be taught by Richard George, an ex-Ofsted Inspector and Senior Leader with over 20 years experience in a variety of educational establishments.Once youve completed this course youll be fully competent to carry out Cover Supervisor roles in a school.
