Celsian Education are currently looking to appoint a Teacher of the Deaf for a role in a primary school in Bradford, West Yorkshire for 5 mornings per week.The role is to start 5th February The main responsibilities of the role are:To teach and support deaf and hearing impaired pupils in a primary school, with reference to their academic life and social & emotional developmentTo develop deaf pupils spoken and/or signed communication skillsTo work in partnership with pupils and parents/carers in the development of their communication strategies, education and health To be considered for the role, you must: Be a qualified Teacher of the Deaf or have substantial relevant experienceHave a strong understanding of the degrees of hearing loss and varying modes of communication and support availableHold British Sign Language Level 1 or higher If you meet the above requirements, apply now, or contact Hayley Tootill on 0161 839 8005.
