Youth Worker- SEMHDo you have experience supporting young people of Secondary age with Emotional Behaviour Difficulties (EBD)?Have you gained experience in the community or in the youth work field supporting young people?Do you have a desire to work within a mainstream school supporting and mentoring young people? Then this is the perfect role for you' Celsian Education are recruiting for Youth Workers to provide social and emotional support to students who have been identifies in need of additional support with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)The role is based in a Mainstream School in Derby and will involve working with young people that have experienced trauma and have challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for promoting a positive, safe and productive learning environment for all the young people. Other duties involve supporting young people by engaging them in various activities, supporting their education, taking them out on day trips and fun activities and ensuring that young people are safe.To be considered you will need: · Experience of working with targeted young people either as a TA, youth worker or community engagement workerOr· A degree in Psychology, Youth Work, or Community EngagementOr· NVQ level 3 in Teaching Assisting or Youth WorkApplicants will be expected to undergo a face-to-face interview, reference checks and an enhanced DBS disclosure.
