Do you enjoy a challenge?Like many in education have you lost count of all the young people you've worked with who've either dropped out of education, or been excluded? Then this could be the role for you. Part of the issue for these young people are not regularly or positively challenged, they need support, time and resources investing in them from skilled people from the youth worker sector.So, what's the challenge?Celsian Education are looking for youth workers or those with experience in working with young people with Social Emotional and Mental health (SEMH) or Emotional Behavioural Disorders (EBD). The role is within a Secondary school and may involve working in inclusion units, 1:1 with students and delivering sessions material to students. This work is not for the fainthearted However, for those that are understanding, patient and, emotionally resilient. You'll help them overcome barriers to learning and give opportunities in education they otherwise may never have had. Most importantly, you'll be that person who never gave up, always believed and challenged them to do the same.To be considered to work as an Youth Worker with Fresh Celsian you will need to:· Have experience in delivering education at either Primary, Secondary or FE level· Have experience in managing challenging behaviours· Think on your feet and easily adapt to various situations· Be engaging, · Be student-centred and communicate effectively· Evidence tailored interventions and creative schemes of work· Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Safeguarding and Child Protection· Write lesson plans, report on student's development and assess riskFor more information please call 01332 291 723To apply, click Apply Now below.
