Celsian Education are recruiting for a secondary school in central Birmingham who are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team. The school requires specialists in SEMH with experience in dealing with challenging behaviour, possessing proven behaviour management skills to work with pupils in KS3 and KS4. The position is full time, term time only and within a mainstream Secondary School in Birmingham. The post is mainly one to one based, supporting children with behavioural difficulties within a classroom setting. There may be occasions where you will also support small groups. Applicants possessing specific training such as Team Teach, MAPA or similar behaviour support training as well as those with experience in PRUs or similar placements are highly desirable.Applicants must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes; A passion for working with children and advocate of inclusive education Experience of working with additional learning needs with a specialism or experience with challenging behaviour, either one to one or in small groups A high standard of communication skills with children and adults Knowledge and Commitment to child Safeguarding Celsian Education additionally offer FREE CPD training for all our candidates to support you in your role at school.
