Celsian Education are recruiting for a secondary Academy in Chelmsley Wood who are looking for Learning Support Assistants with SEMH experience to join their school SEN team. The school requires specialists with experience in SEMH who have a proven track record of dealing with challenging behaviour and possessing proven behaviour management skills to work with pupils in KS3 and KS4. The position is full time, term time only and within a mainstream Secondary School in Birmingham. The post will be supporting children with behavioural difficulties within a classroom setting either on a one to one or small group basis. If you posses specific training such as Team Teach, MAPA or similar behaviour support training and have experience in PRUs or similar placements you are highly desirable.Applicants must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes; A passion for working with children and advocate of inclusive education Experience of working with additional learning needs with a specialism or experience with challenging behaviour, either one to one or in small groups A high standard of communication skills with children and adults Knowledge and Commitment to child Safeguarding Celsian Education additionally offer FREE CPD training for all our candidates to support you in your role at school.
