Celsian Education are recruiting for a cluster of schools in the Walsall and surrounding area who are looking for Learning Support Assistants with SEMH experience to join their SEN Departments with immediate effect.Our schools are seeking specialists with experience in SEMH, with a good track record of dealing with challenging behaviours and proven behaviour management skills, to work with pupils in KS3 and KS4. As a Learning support assistant, you will be required to work on a full time basis within mainstream secondary Schools. You will be supporting children with behavioural and mental health difficulties within a classroom setting either on a one to one or small group basis. Ideally you will be trained in Team Teach, MAPA (de-escalation training) and have experience in PRUs or similar placements. Applicants must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes; A passion for working with children and advocate of inclusive education Experience of working with additional learning needs with a specialism or experience with challenging behaviour, either one to one or in small groups A high standard of communication skills with children and adults Knowledge and Commitment to child safeguarding Celsian Education additionally offer FREE CPD training for all our candidates to support you in your role at school.
