Celsian Education is actively recruiting SEN TAs to work in specialist provisions across Leeds.You'll need:- excellent communication skills.- Literacy and numeracy skills.- The ability to deal with challenging behaviour.- Creative and practical skills for activities and displays.- An ability to speak local community languages could be useful in some areas.What you'll doYou may work with a range of ages in a dedicated special needs school.Your work will depend on the age of the children and their individual needs, but may include:- Preparing learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.- Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups.- Adapting support according to needs.- Looking after children's physical, social and emotional welfarecreating a stimulating environment.- Giving information and help to teachers.- Keeping records and attending review meetings.To find out more about what the role would offer, or to apply, please contact Celsian Education Leeds, and ask for Adam Proud.
