We are currently seeking to appoint a Director of Learning for Science to join an 11-18 Academy in North Birmingham from September 2019.The schools mission is to create an outstanding organisation that inspires learners with excellence in academic achievement, personal development and community service.We are seeking to appoint a fully qualified science Teacher who is able to teach all sciences to KS4 with a proven track record of delivering outstanding lessons, improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.As a director of learning for science you will be required to develop an exciting curriculum that suits every types of learners as well as demonstrating your ability to lead a successful faculty.The science department is dedicated to ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to learn, build on prior success, and achieve their potential. At GCSE, they teach AQA, which is supported by a dynamic and focused curriculum being practised from year 7 onwards. Their aim is to instil and develop creative thinking through engaging and challenging lessons. These lessons develop a sympathetic imagination through the use of explaining and evaluating views and opinions other than their own ensuring pupils become successful and tolerant members of society.
