Celsian Education are seeking a Head of House Support worker in South Birmingham. The role is a full time maternity cover working at a lovely secondary school in an affluent part of South Birmingham.The position entails:· Supporting the Head of House and Deputy Headteacher in engaging with parents and students: day to day contact and scheduling of appointments with students and parents as required.· To provide support for transition activities between key stages. To include such activities as - pen pals organisation, organisation for 6-7 transition induction day, primary school visits and data collection.· To co-ordinate and administer identified year group activities and celebrations .e.g. bike ability, mock examination celebrations, celebration assemblies, A level and GCSE results day, top of the mocks.· To provide general administrative support for, educational visits, the praise system, and managing all aspects of administration and administration for Heads of House and deputy Headteacher (students).· To administer data relative to the Heads of House such as disseminating data received from student support and the attendance officer· To administer the mentoring system.· To provide agendas (agreed by Heads of House) and data for Heads of House weekly tutor meetings.· To support the Assistant Headteacher (Data) with the administration of review/target setting days and parents evenings.· To check student planners and raise issues with the Head of House.· To support and liaise with student support on matters relating to the houses supported.· To maintain display areas weekly related to Houses and pastoral aspects e.g. students of the week, HoH notice board, safeguarding.· To provide administration for weekly House challenges.
