Behaviour Support Assistant - Leeds

We are currently recruiting for a knowledgeable learning support assistant, to support secondary aged pupils in a SEN unit based in Leeds.

Ideally, you will: · Have previous experience working with students who have Autism, challenging behaviour and MLD.· Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEN requirements.· Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills. · General knowledge of SEND, particularly autism. As this role encompasses working with pupils who are on the Autistic spectrum, usually with challenging behaviours and MLD, previous experience of working with pupils in SEND settings is desirable but not critical.

Team Teach and Makaton would also be beneficial to your application, yet we do run regular training courses, therefore this is not vital also.
