Celsian Education is currently recruiting for SEN Support Staff to work in specialised schools in Leicestershire and the surrounding areas.

We are currently working with several SEN schools across Leicester and Leicestershire, who require Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, and Learning & Behaviour Mentors for Short and Long-Term Cover

Have you worked in schools or Clubs with children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have any 1:1 or group experience with SEN children in any of the school Key Stages? Do you have an understanding of different Special Educational Needs characteristics and how to support them? Are you Team-Teach trained?

You will demonstrate a professional approach, be able to take initiative, and work effectively alongside permanent staff. You will have the aptitude to form good relationships and be able to communicate effectively with parents and other professionals. It is vital that you hold a valid, recognised qualification and/or have had at least 6 weeks experience of teaching within an SEN environment in the UK within the last 3 years.

We do consider TAs, LSAs and Learning & Behaviour Mentors who have worked in a mainstream setting with relevant skills and experience.

To be successful in the role you will have experience working with:-
