PMLD Teaching Assistant l Complex Needs

Celsian education have an opportunity to work with a school in the St Helens area with children and young people with complex needs.

We are looking for strong learning support assistants to join the school in September. The school are specifically looking for candidates who can work 1:1 with pupils who can have physical disabilities. as well as in very small groups with the pupils who work on life skills as well as take part in Literacy and Numeracy lessons.

The school caters for students with complex needs, the school is extremely passionate about providing personalised education and care to each pupil.

The position is to start from September and to work on an ongoing basis in the school.

To be successful in the role you will have-

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (preferably PMLD)
  • Manual Handling - working with pupils have physical disabilities
  • Working on a 1-2-1 basis with young people
  • Pastoral support
  • Sensory environment experience
  • Care or school based experience is desired
