Celsian Education are currently working with a Primary School in the Tameside area who are looking for a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to start work in the new academic year on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will require previous experience working with children with S&L difficulties on a 121 basis. As well as that you may be required to work small groups of children across Key Stage 1 who require additional support.

Your role will involve:

  • Assisting children with their learning in the classroom
  • Supporting the class Teacher
  • Running some Speech & Language intervention outside the classroom
  • Providing both 121 and group support sessions

You will be required to be pro-active and have recent and relevant experience with a real passion for working with children within a special education needs in a mainstream primary school.

We will happily accept applications from graduates with a related recognisable degree and and an interest in Psychology or Psychotherapy. Additional qualifications relating to S&L, Autism or Special Education Needs would be advantageous.
