Part-Time HLTA Required I KS2 I Oldham

Are you a level 4 teaching assistant or hold a HLTA qualification? Are you available for work as soon as possible? Are you passionate about raising attainment in literacy and numeracy?

Celsian Education are working with a primary school within Oldham to appoint a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across all year groups in the key stage 2 department. This role is to start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will hold HLTA status, or, have a level 4 teaching assistant qualification or could perhaps be an Newly Qualified teacher. It is essential that you have recent experience of covering key stage 2 classes. You must be flexible, reliable, passionate and a real team player as you will be expected to move across the whole of the key stage 2 department.

This role is a part time role and will be for 3 days per week and is to start as soon as possible, the role is covering a permanent member of staff who is having time off for a medical procedure, it is likely to be until at least December 2018.

The School have specifically asked for someone with strong communication skills and previous experience of covering PPA, sickness and courses.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to:-

  • Hold a relevant Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or a Teaching qualification with QTS
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have recent experience of working in a similar role
  • Be confident to work across all key stage 2 year groups
  • Be able to provide two suitable references covering the last 2 years, at least 1 being from an educational establishment
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
