Are you interested in being a teaching assistant within Special Needs schools? Do you need to gain some classroom experience? Are you enthusiastic and committed about the learning and the development of students?

Here at Celsian Birmingham we are recruiting for schools across South Birmingham and the local surrounding areas. Most LSA and TA roles coming through will be on a temporary and daily supply work, however these roles vary. You will be responsible for supervising classes across the curriculum, covering for teacher absences, ensuring a smooth transition between cover and the teacher. You do need to be confident in your approach to difficult behaviour, as soon schools will vary on performance and the current level of staff in school.

You must be:

  • Hold a certificate level 3 minimum, in a specialist area of Education
  • Be enthusiastic, and committed to work at hand.
  • Be patient and approachable to all pupils taking into account levels of their work
