Are you a dedicated practitioner with prior classroom experience, working as a TA, LSA or Learning Mentor within a Special Need Schools?

Have you gained experience within the special needs sector over the past 2 years?

Celsian Education Birmingham are currently seeking SEND Learning Support Assistant who will contribute to the further development of students working within a small group, where they find it difficult to stay focused and can often display challenging behaviour. The overall needs of the students are Autism based and whom have specific learning difficulties and some with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Challenging behaviour at times may also be present. You will however be supported by a fantastic school and team within the class. Additional training is also provided during the working week after the school day finishes.

  • Position to be starting April (Easter Half Term or earlier) covering maternity.

I am keen to speak with practitioners who have the ability to display levels of confidence and enthusiasm that will ensure pupils are fully engaged in their lessons. Please ONLY apply if the criteria matches your experience and CV;

          • Autism Awareness training or similar qualification (Must)
          • Manual Handling Certificate (Ideal)
          • MAKATON (Must)
          • DBS dated within the last year - Or on the update service (Must)
          • 2 years minimum, recent experience within SEN (Must)

  • Hold a Level 3 certificate or higher (Must)
  • Experience with secondary aged students (Must)
  • Available over the next few weeks to arrange trials and interviews. (Must)
