SEN Specialist | TA | LSA | South Leicestershire

Celsian Education is currently working in partnership with an SEN school in South Leicestershire, and we are recruiting experienced Support Staff to work in an SEN environment. In this sector we are looking for LSAs who can work short-term and long-term placements at an SEN schools in South Leicestershire. We are particularly looking to recruit those with the experience and knowledge of working with children and young people who are on the autistic spectrum (ASD), have physical disabilities (PMLD) and/or have challenging behavioural issues (SEMH).

  • Have you worked in schools or clubs with SEN children?
  • Do you have 1:1 or group experience with children with SEN?
  • Do you have an understanding of special educational needs such as; ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and how to support pupils with them?
  • Are you Team-Teach or MAPA trained?
  • Are you trained in Makaton?

If you answered 'yes' to any of the above, then we'd love to hear from! In this role, you will be assisting young people, with special educational needs, with their learning. You will gain an understanding of their personal preferences and cater to their unique needs. Working in an SEN settings can sometimes be challenging, but it is also extremely rewarding. We are looking for candidates with a passion for working within Special Education, and who also have the ability to inspire students to develop and learn.
