Do you have experience of working with children at EYFS or KS1 in a nursery, school, or care setting? Are you familiar with the primary curriculum at KS1 and have a good understanding of Phonics?

Celsian Education are recruiting on behalf of a client primary school in the Long Eaton area of Derbyshire for a temporary, full time, long term EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant from either ASAP or January, to July 19.

Our schools provide quality education for children within the local area within mainstream primary settings, providing the foundations for their pupils' development in order for them to progress as happy, confident and effective learners. EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistants are vital to the overall learning and development of pupils at these schools, who can tailor their approach in order to optimise the learning opportunities of pupils in their care. The successful applicant will be working with primary aged children at EYFS and KS1 with a particular focus on support with the delivery and understanding of Literacy and Phonics.

The School - Derbyshire

Celsian Education have developed a strong a trusting relationship with this mainstream primary school, based in Long Eaton - who choose to book all of their supply via us as their first port of call. We currently have a number of experienced teachers in place within the school on a long term temporary contracts, and are looking forward to helping them to find you, to work as part of their friendly and valued support team.

One full time post is available, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 16:00, either with an ASAP start or from January to July 19.

Person Specification -EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant - Long term ASAP to July 19

The successful applicant will have strong literacy skills, a sound understanding of phonics and experience of delivering or supporting the teaching of phonics, be enthusiastic, proactive and engaging; be able to provide effective support to EYFS/KS1 children under direction of the teacher, including those with special educational needs.

Successful Applicants will be subject to references and an up to date DBS with update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.

About the Role - EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant - Long term ASAP to July 19

You will be supporting pupils in EYFS/KS1 on a full time basis for 5 days per week to foster a love of learning.
