Celsian Education are currently seeking a range of Learning Support Assistants who have recent experience within Education within a Special Needs School. The school in question has needs of students that cover the whole SEN spectrum. (ASD, PMLD, MLD, SEMH and overall complex learning needs. As a member of staff working daily with them, you would be required to have a level 3 minimum qualification as well as an Enhanced DBS for both adults and children. You must be very strong with positive behaviour management, ensuring you can keep engagement of the students to the max. For the school to frequently book, you would need to be available between 4 -5 days in the working week. (Personal care is always advised, however for the most part you will never need to cover it)If you are seeking day to day work with an idea of maybe going long term, I would ensure all SEN experience relating to PMLD and SEMH is completely visible on your CV. As a minimum qualification, you would be required to hold a Level 3 Certificate as well. Long term members of staff must be available 5 days in the working week to ensure complete dedication and commitment to the learning of the students. If any applicants have experience within residential care, but have also worked within a school then please apply.
