I am working on the behalf of my client Secondary School in Nottinghamshire who are seeking to appoint a very well qualified, highly skilled and highly motivated Science Teacher to work on a long term basis in the school from January 2019 with the opportunity for a permanent position.

The school benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities which include extensive provision for sports, a well-equipped Performing Arts Centre, a Learning Support Base, two Autism Resource Centres and a purpose built Sixth Form Centre.

They are the academy of choice for their local area and you would be part of a supported community and, most importantly, a warm and friendly environment in which to educate young people. The Ofsted is Good- with features of Outstanding Provisions.

Their Science Faculty has 12 qualified teachers with a mix of age and experience and their staffing has increased due to the increasing student numbers to which they continually invest in CPD to ensure teaching is good or better. 2018 GCSE results were their best ever - surpassing the national average. The Science Faculty is housed over multiple laboratories and benefits from 2 technicians. In addition to delivering the science curriculum, the faculty organise a range of extracurricular, raising aspirations and STEM events for students.

The successful candidate will be supported by a very strong senior leadership team and Director of Learning and will work in a school on a journey of improvement where the culture is focused on ensuring every child can become the best that they can be.
