Celsian Education are working closely with a College in Solihull to find a History specialist teacher who has experience teaching Classical History and Ancient Civilisation. They are highly interested in teachers who have taught OCR Greek Religion and Gods, and the Roman Period. They will look at candidates who are available to work Monday, Thursday and Friday however if you are seeking a full time position this is something they accommodate.The position is to start as soon as possible and is covering a long term sick note. To be successful in your application you will need to have recent teaching experience of the above subjects and have a DBS that is current.Your role will be to: Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences Develop schemes of work and lesson plans Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities Observe and evaluate student's performance and development Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities To be considered for this HISTORY Teacher job you will have: Qualified Teaching Status, QTLS OR be an NQT Ability to teach History up to KS5 A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication between students / colleaguesTo find out more about this position please contact Louise at Celsian Education on 0121 633 4698 alternatively email your most recent CV
