Are you a driven Youth Worker that is dedicated to understanding the needs of pupils with SEMH and help engage them in education?
Celsian Education is working in partnership with a progressive secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit nurturing Youth Worker to work on a part-time contract, starting after February half term.
Based in a mainstream secondary school the successful candidate will be working with range from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 pupils with a range of different emotional, mental health and social needs, and also pupils that display signs of challenging behaviour. The school's aim is to look after each pupils individual needs to the best of their ability- and helping to support these pupils with going back into mainstream classroom.
The successful candidate should have:
- A Youth Worker qualification or Psychology Degree
- Experience of working with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour
- To apply a variation of de-escalation methods
- Having own transportation would be beneficial
