ASD Support | Autistic Spectrum Disorder | TA | LSA | Leicester
Celsian Education is currently working in partnership with an SEN schools in Leicester that depends on us to provided support staff for daily cover. We are therefore recruiting specialist ASD Support Staff who can work in an SEN environment.
If you are an ASD Teaching or Learning Support Assistant, who is looking for day-to-day work, on a supply basis, then this may be ideal for you.
If you have:
- Worked in schools/clubs with children with ASD?
- 1:1 or group experience with ASD children, in any of the school Key Stages?
- An understanding of ASD and how to support pupils on the Spectrum?
- Team-Teach or MAPA training
- Knowledge of Makaton?
And would like to make a difference supporting young people, then we'd love to hear from!
You will demonstrate a professional approach, take initiative, and work effectively alongside permanent staff. You will also have the aptitude to form good relationships and communicate well with parents and other professionals.
It is important that you hold a valid, recognised qualification and have had experience within an ASD environment in the UK, within the last 3 years. You Will:
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for one)
- Have up to date professional childcare-related references (covering the last 2 years)
