Cover Supervisor - English

Celsian are looking for Cover Supervisors who have specialist subject knowledge in English. You may be a graduate in English, and a future English Teacher who is keen to get some secondary school based experience. There is a demand for subject specialist cover supervisors to work with Secondary schools in the area. Cover Supervisors/Assistants are responsible for overseeing a class in the absence of the usual Teacher. Work will be set but you will be responsible for distributing the tasks and ensuring that pupils complete tasks to a high standard. You will also be expected to maintain discipline in the classroom through using the school behaviour policy. These posts would provide excellent experience prior to complete a PGCE. We are looking for hardworking, self-motivated and very professional people to work in schools. It certainly helps if you are a friendly person with a positive outlook . Excellent attendance and time keeping are a must, since the positions will involve covering for already absent teachers. Naturally you will need to have very good communication skills in order to effectively liaise with students. Posts start immediately and are ongoing.
