EAL Teaching Assistant I Easter I Oldham
Are you a qualified teaching assistant? Do you have experience of supporting pupils whose first language is not English? Celsian Education are looking to recruit a qualified teaching assistant who has experience of supporting children whose first language is not English? The role will start around Easter time and will be on a long term temporary basis to continue until at least the end of the academic year. As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will be providing support on a 121 or small group basis to help raise the attainment levels of pupils, in particular with, written English, spoken English and reading.
It is essential that you have experience of working as a teaching assistant in a UK primary school and have a relevant and recognised qualification to at least level 2. Celsian will need to obtain at least 2 references to cover the last 2 years, at least 1 being a reference from an educational or childcare setting. You will be required to have an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through Celsian Education and be eligible to work in the UK.
