This is a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher to join a well-established academy who are continuing to grow and experience positive change.Celsian Education are currently recruiting for an English specialist QTS/QTLS in Worcester for a long term position starting after Easter 2019.The role:To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriateTo facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potentialTo contribute to raising standards of student attainmentTo share and support the schools responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growthCore Duties:To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the Curriculum Area and DepartmentTo contribute to the Curriculum Area and departments development plan and its implementationTo plan and prepare courses and lessonsTo contribute to the whole schools planning activitiesTo be a Form Tutor to an assigned group of studentsTo apply the Behaviour management systems so that effective learning can take placeTeaching:To teach, students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the student in school and elsewhereTo assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students and to keep such records as are requiredTo provide, or contribute to, oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students and groups of studentsTo undertake assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, departmental and school proceduresTo mark, grade and give written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as requiredThis is an excellent opportunity to join an academy that is growing and making a real difference in the community.
