Are you dedicated to supporting primary students to engage in education?

Are you able to quickly build rapport with pupils and understand their motivations and establish alternative learning routes?

Celsian Education is working in partnership with a popular primary school in Sheffield to recruit a compassionate behaviour support mentor to help students re-engage in education.

You will start work after Easter until June on a full-time basis. You will work on a 1:1 basis with a select number of pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, who are struggling to engage in education. You will work with the class teacher and SENCo to help plan and deliver IEP's for students in you care.

Celsian Education work with a number of schools exclusively in the Sheffield and surrounding areas, meaning we can introduce you to a number of schools that use us on a regular basis, giving you the ability to build long-term relationships with schools and feel a part of their valued staffing team. Requirements:

- Be confident, passionate and highly motivated

- Strong behaviour management

- Qualification: Teaching Assistant, Psychology degree or Health and Social Care NVQ

- A passion for education

- The ability to demonstrate a consistent level of teaching support to facilitate the classroom teachers delivery of lessons

- A Team Teach certification would be desirable but not essential

- Confidence to provide personal care beneficial but not essential
