Are you a devoted Primary Teacher that specialises in Key Stage One?

Are you looking for a full-time long-term assignment starting after Easter?

Celsian Education is currently working in partnership with an innovative Primary School in Barnsley, to recruit a passionate Year 1/2 Teacher to join their friendly and supportive teaching team.

Starting work at the end of April until the end of the academic year, with a potential for extension.

In this split year group, will will have a heavy focus on the preparation for Phonics screening and Year 2 SATs. Excellent knowledge of phonics, communication, speech and language development is essential.

You will have the support of a talented TA that can support intervention and booster sessions, enabling you to provide an inclusive education for all and raise attainment in both age groups.

Read, Write, Inc and phonics screening are beneficial but not essential.


- Be eligible to work in the UK

- Primary Specialism B.Ed., PGCE, CertEd, Learners First, SCITT, Teacher First and hold QTS status

- Excellent understanding of the primary curriculum

- Experience of Phonics screening and speech and language development

- Proven ability to raise attainment in Key Stage One SAT's

- Be confident, passionate and highly motivated

- Have empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
