Design and Technology Teacher required from September 2019About the RoleWe are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher to contribute to the teaching of Design and Technology ideally with experience in product design, systems control or resistant materials across Key Stage 3 and 4 for a school in South BirminghamAbout YouWe are seeking the following from applicants:Ability to teach GCSE D&T / BTEC CMP or BTEC Art an advantagePossess good behaviour management skills, working and understanding the key Health & Safety requirements within the D&T environmentBe a good and effective communicator at all levelsBe open minded, creative and inspirational in your style of teachingCommit to working collaboratively with colleagues and studentsUtilise a variety of teaching methods and ensure that your lessons are engaging at all levelsAbility to teach and have appropriate subject knowledge up to and including KS4The successful candidate will join an inspirational and passionate team of D&T teachers.About the schoolThe GCSE D&T results last year were exemplary with 100% of year 11 students gaining A* - C grades. The department has an excellent reputation having won recognition in a number of national competitions. The department has recently substantially invested in a new Digital Technology Studio and facilities including; CNC, 3D Printer and new laser cutting equipment.
