Celsian are currently recruiting for a Permanent English Teacher, to work as a Second in English at a school in Leeds from September. There is a TLR2b attached to this post. Pay will be MPS/UPS.You will be working as part of a small team of middle leaders within English, where you will have a hand in contributing to the design and development of an outstanding, innovative and creative English curriculum within the school. You will be required to ensure that teachers within the English team are helped to become highly effective practitioners. Apart from being an excellent teacher of English Language and English Literature, the ideal candidate must also:- Have a good, up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies - be up to date with current pedagogical thinking- demonstrate a commitment to learning and working with a strong staff team- Know the assessment requirements and arrangements for the subjects/curriculum areas they teach- be effective in supporting the work of the Head of Department- Know how to use skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT to support their teaching - Be able to make effective personalised provision for those they teach - have extremely high expectations of themselves and othersPlease call me directly at Celsian Education if you are keen to learn more about the position.
