Celsian Education have a vacancy for a TA in an SEN specialist setting.The role will involve working with on a 1:1 basis with a child with profound, low-ability autism. Given the nature of the role, previous experience in SEN is preferential.The ideal candidate will: - Have a working knowledge of autism.- Have experience supporting and developing a child or young person with autism.- Be certified in Team-Teach, Studio 3, MAPA or a similar de-escalation and positive handling technique.- Have a working knowledge of Intensive Interaction.- An understanding of Makaton.Whilst all of the above are not essential, having these skills will be extremely advantageous in securing this placement.To hear more about this role, or others that we have on offer, please contact Celsian Education and ask for Adam Proud.
