SEN Support Assistant Required - Special School - North Leeds

At Celsian Education we are currently looking for experienced SEN teaching assistants to work in an Outstanding setting in the North of Leeds on a flexible supply basis.

You must have previous experience working with children with autism and Team Teach training would be preferred but can be provided by ourselves.

You would be expected to:

- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of children with Special Educational Needs throughout the school.

- Work under the guidance/instruction of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to l earning for scholars and to assist the teacher in the management of scholars and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

- Work with individuals or small groups of scholars under the direction of teaching staff.

- Support scholars with activities which support literacy, numeracy and other skills. Implement behaviour management policies in accordance with guidance provided by the teacher.

You would be working on a bank staff basis, offering more flexibility in your working week and fitting around any prior commitments you may have.

All candidates are subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
