SATS Booster teaching assistant I Oldham I September I KS2

Are you experienced working with small groups of year 6 children in preparation for SATs? Are you dedicated in raising SATS results?

We are currently working with an Ofsted rated 'good' primary school in Oldham to recruit a teaching assistant that is experienced working with small groups of year 6 children to prepare them for their SATS in 2020.

The successful candidate will need to be able to confidently deliver booster and Intervention sessions to pupils in year 6 to prepare them for their SATS in 2019.

The role is a 0.4 contract and will commence in September until Christmas, and will continue after that on a 0.6 contract until May 2019. The days will be Thursday & Friday and then Wednesday, Thursday Friday. The school will also consider the appointed candidate first for additional supply needs on the other 2 days each week as and when required if this is something you would be interested in.

All applicants must have at least a terms recent experience in a UK primary school and will ideally have recent experience teaching booster or intervention sessions to year 6 children in the last academic year.

Celsian Education will be required to obtain at least 2 references to cover the last 2 years, 1 of which will need to be from a school, and all applicants will need to hold an enhanced level DBS that is on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.

To be considered for this role you must -

  • Hold a recognised, relevant teaching qualification
  • Have recent experience delivering Intervention and/or Booster group work.
  • Be able to commit to the contract in its entirety.
