Level 3 Teaching Assistant l Rochdale / Bury
Are you a passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting in a reception class? Do you want to use your knowledge of early years to help small groups of children to develop academically and emotionally?
Celsian Education are working with a large and welcoming primary school in the Rochdale / Bury area who are looking for a dedicated level 3 TA who is experienced working in early years and/or foundation stage. This long term role is to cover maternity leave and will start after October half term until the end of the academic year.
If successful you will be required to support children in the reception class, to try to help them to grow and develop the key skills that are essential when staring their journey in education. You will also be expected to lead small groups of children, delivering intervention in phonics, literacy and numeracy. You will be working closely with the class teacher in order to provide a safe and positive environment for all children. This diverse school has a high percentage of pupil premium students so experience with SEND (special educational needs & disabilities) would be beneficial.
This friendly primary school caters for over 400 children aged 3 to 11 years old. They have high expectations for all students and aim to provide a dynamic curriculum with a focus on helping all pupils to achieve success; making this the ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant.
To be considered for this Level 3 Teaching Assistant role you will need:
- To be qualified to at least Level 3 in Education / Childcare
- A minimum of Grade C in English & Maths at GCSE level
- Recent experience working in a Primary school, in an early years setting
- Strong positive behaviour management
- Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding
- To be approachable, inspiring and enthusiastic
