Would you like to positively influence young peoples lives? Are you a role model? Celsian Education is looking for a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in a large mainstream Primary School in Leicester. Due to increased numbers of pupil exclusions on a national basis, schools are now requiring more Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with additional behavioural needs. The role of a Behaviour Mentor will require you to work on one a one-to-one basis with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). You will promote positive behaviour and ensure the young person has access to learning, whilst also being involved in raising attainment for the pupil. This position is specifically for a candidate who has experience dealing with pupils, either in a mainstream or SEND setting, who have additional needs that lead to challenging behaviour.
