Secondary Science Teacher | Chemistry | Manchester

Celsian Education are working with a large and developing secondary school in the Manchester area who are looking for a dynamic Science Teacher for a maternity cover starting as soon as possible.

Are you enthusiastic about Science and can you use your knowledge and passion to engage groups of students in Chemistry?

This Science Teacher role will involve planning and delivering exciting Chemistry lessons to classes across key stage 3 and key stage 4; teaching students of all abilities. You will work with the young people to help raise their attainment in the subject and achieve success in their GCSE exams. This diverse school received 'good' in their most recent Ofsted inspection and are committed to the inclusion of all young people; making this the ideal opportunity for an NQT or more experienced teacher.

To be successful in the Science Teacher role you will have:

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Excellent subject knowledge specialising in Science / Chemistry
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 - KS4
  • Good communication skills
