SEND Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs l Bury

Celsian Education are working with a friendly special school in Bury who are looking for positive and pro-active Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who need additional support.

Are you passionate about supporting the learning and development of SEND students? Can you help to create a positive environment for young people with complex needs?

If so this may be the ideal vacancy for you! It is a long term placement covering sickness starting after February half term.

The role of a Teaching Assistant will require you to work alongside the class teacher supporting small groups of pupils who need additional support and have a range of SEND. You will help students across various lessons with a flexible approach, adapting activities to suit the individual needs of pupils.

This 'outstanding' special school based in Bury caters for young people aged 11 to 19 with a range of SEND and complex needs including; Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), physical disabilities, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Speech Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) and sensory impairments. Knowledge of alternative communication methods such as PECs and Makaton would be beneficial.
