Are you experienced working with young people with autism? Can you use your knowledge and enthusiasm to help children to develop both socially and academically?

These ASD Teaching Assistant roles will involve working on a one to one basis with key stage 2 pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder within a warm and friendly primary school in Oldham. With a supportive staff team and good communication, they help pupils to learn key life skills with a focus on 'respect' for all; supporting pupils in becoming caring members of the community.

To be successful in this ASD Teaching Assistant role you will need;

  • Experience working with SEND; specifically ASD
  • Strong behaviour management with patience
  • Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and flexible approach
  • Team Teach or similar de-escalation training (beneficial)
